- Central Government legal service with substantial exposure to litigation.
- Advocate/pleader with at least 13 years of practice, OR
- Attorney of the Bombay/Calcutta High Court with at least 11 years’ combined practice as attorney and advocate.

- Drafting-only work will not qualify.
- Legal practice and government service experience may be combined to meet eligibility.
Pay Scale
- Level 13 in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
- Salary Range: ₹1,18,500 – ₹2,14,100 per month.
- Initial Pay: ₹1,18,500 + Dearness Allowance (excluding HRA and TA).
