The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, is now accepting applications for in-person, full-time internships for the period September 2025 – December 2025.
This internship offers law students a chance to work at the highest level of the Indian judiciary, gain first-hand exposure to constitutional and legal practice, and learn directly from the chambers of a sitting Supreme Court Judge.
Eligibility Criteria
- Undergraduate law students:
• 2nd year or above (3-year LL.B.)
• 4th year or above (5-year integrated LL.B.) - Postgraduate law students (LL.M.)

📌 Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. It is advisable to apply at least 5 weeks before the preferred start date.
Selection Process
- Shortlisted applicants will face a telephonic or virtual interview.
- Final confirmation will be communicated 2–4 weeks before the start date.
Orientation
At the start, selected interns will undergo an orientation session, covering:
- Procedures of the office
- Legal research & drafting tools
- Templates and protocols
- Confidentiality policies
Internship Responsibilities
- Preparing briefs and notes on legal matters
- Conducting in-depth legal research & drafting memos
- Attending Supreme Court hearings and recording detailed minutes

- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity
- Uphold the dignity of the Supreme Court
Important Note
- Internships will start on the 1st of every month, unless otherwise specified.
- This is a full-time, in-person internship only.
