Hammurabi & Solomon Partners are looking for a Senior Associate with 4-5 years PQE who lives and breathes courtroom battles and client strategy.
About The Role
You’ll own litigation cases end-to-end — civil, commercial, criminal, corporate, intellectual property — you name it.
From filing to courtroom appearances, from drafting pleadings to mentoring juniors, you will be the backbone of our litigation team.
You bring the firepower in advocacy and sharp legal mind to outthink the opposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management & Strategy: Handle and oversee complex litigation matters. Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs. Research deeply and plan your case strategy with precision.
- Court Representation: Appear in courts and tribunals. Argue motions. Cross-examine witnesses. Negotiate settlements. Win cases.
- Client Advisory: Provide smart, strategic legal advice to clients. Keep them updated. Draft opinions and contracts that matter.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior associates and interns. Review their work. Train the team on litigation best practices and latest developments.
- Business Development: Network actively. Represent the firm in legal circles and conferences. Help grow the firm’s clientele and reputation.
What We Need From You
- Education: LL.B. from a recognized institution (LL.M. a plus).
- Experience: 4-5 years in litigation with a reputed firm or chamber.
- Languages: Fluent in Kannada and English (both written and spoken). Other languages a bonus.
- Legal Expertise: Strong grasp of civil, criminal, IPR, procedural laws, ADR, and corporate commercial litigation.
- Advocacy & Negotiation: Top-notch courtroom skills and legal drafting.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent client handling and team mentoring abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to dissect complex issues and craft precise legal solutions.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with legal research tools (Manupatra, SCC Online) and case management software.
